Hello [FIRST NAME GOES HERE]
Pressure is a privilege.
But in the middle of pressure…you forget.
You forget who you are.
You forget what you have.
You start reacting instead of leading.
That’s why Billie Jean King reminded Serena Williams:
“You have one of the most powerful serves in the history of tennis
Use it,”
And in the middle of the match, with nerves high and the opponent slicing the ball, the coaching got even more specific:
Slow down,
Stay low.
Get up on the ball.
Because pressure will try to make you:
Rush.
Tighten up.
Abandon your fundamentals.
But great leaders do three things in pressure:
They remember who they are.
They use what they already have.
They execute the fundamentals with discipline.
Pressure doesn’t require new skills.
It requires access to what’s already in you.
